Descension's currently my favorite album from this year (as well as one of my favorite albums in of all-time), so it's nice to see that someone else on here has listened to it.

It's been since In Keeping Secrets of Silent Earth: 3 that I had listened to C&C so I was very surprised to see how much they progressed through the years with this album. It's got a few very good proggy moments which makes it even more worthwile to listen to.

Cool man, glad to see someone else appreciates The Thing. Just so you know, everything else I've heard from each member of that trio has been good to great. Paal Nilssen-Love and Mats Gustafsson both work with Peter Brotzmann often, both together and with other musicians, but when you put all three together you get this:

An awesome free jazz album that sounds like elephants giving each other blow jobs whilst a drummer beats off to the scene (pun intended). This album, The Fat Is Gone, is one of my favourite Gustafsson works and has a high ranking on my favourite Brotzmann works. But keep in mind that Brotzmann is quite prolific and I'm a fan so there are a few albums that score higher than The Fat Is Gone.

I go through phases. At this moment in time, I am digging a Dutch band called Doe Maar.

Fantastic album. I really enjoyed Nightmare when that was released, and I was so pumped to hear that they would have an album this year. I got through it once already and I can already say it's going to be one of my favorites of this year. Definitely worth a listen if you're interested.

I agree but there are like one or two tracks in the middle that I just can't stand and end up skipping them.

Agreed. Overall, it's a pretty kick ass album and I was very pleased.

Kings of Leon - Because of the Times

Said several times that this is one of my favourite albums. Every time I go back it gets better and better.

Great record, but Aha Shake Heartbreak is a lot better.
