You might also dig The Red List...

...which is a fantastic split between Man is the Bastard side project Bastard Noise and the Canadian powerviolence band The Endless Blockade. Really good stuff imo.
Most definitely. It'll go on my list. I have no idea when I'll get to it, since I have over 2000 songs on my To Listen To list, but I'll get to it eventually! Haha.

very flavorful indie folk outta Australia. scratches the same itch for me that Fleet Foxes and Deer Tick do.

my first taste of this band. really moody album; lots of contrasting highs and lows. scratches the itch for Radiohead much like Husky for Fleet Foxes.

welcome return to form after the ill-advised departure of Year of the Black Rainbow (though i will say that i actually like that album). my only real criticism could be that it's criminally short for a Coheed album; but sometimes that works in its favor insofar as it gives me a more easily digestible full-length. as opposed to its typically hour long predecessors.

That's next on my current playlist, as soon as I'm done with When The Kite String Pops.

Kath Bloom and Loren Connors - Restless Faithful Desperate & Moonlight

One of the most beautiful albums that I've come across in a while. I've heard Connors with Keiji Haino and Jim O'Rourke (the former was great and the latter was disappointing), so I decided to check him out a little more. Found this album and Bloom's vocals are both dark and gorgeous at the same time. This album reminds me of an album length version of Jandek's "Nancy Sings" with a somewhat conventional guitarist. I'd highly recommend this if you like folk or beautiful female vocals.
