Absolutely love this album, first listened to it back in August and it's been in rotation since. Haven't given Sky Valley a listen yet since I'd like to get it in FLAC, but I might just cave.

Oh, you're one of those FLAC elitists...

FLAC elitism will soon take over once terabyte hard-drives drop in price.

EMBRACE THE BIT-RATE!

Meh, I have enough trouble finding even semi-obscure albums above 160kpbs...

I like to have stuff in FLAC, but (according to foobar) 65% of my library is in MP3.

If I can get it in FLAC, I get it. It's nice to have and most of my favorite bands or stuff that's very subtle gets the treatment.

flaming lips - embryonic

lots of filler but the good stuff is good.

my ADD embryonic list:

convinced of the hex
the sparrow looks up at the machine
aquarius sabotage
see the leaves
the ego's last stand
worm mountain
silver trembling hands
watching the planets

35 minutes of great material makes an album in my book.

I'm really getting into Mogwai. I've been putting this one on loop while I study.

Downloaded that a few days ago, as well as a couple of other Mogwai albums. Haven't given them a listen yet, but if it's good work music I'll have to put it on.

Lucinda Williams - Lucinda Williams

^ A lot more light-hearted and laid-back than her latter-day stuff, but still an absolute fav. One of my favourite albums to kick back to with a bundle of beers at hand.

Which reminds me, I still haven't listened to Sweet Old World yet...
