Some new stuf, you know? (jazz, metal, genre, bands)

Ok, so pretty much I joined this forum because I'm tired of listning to all my mainstream stuff... anything from Jazz to death metal, I listen to it... but it's all mostly mainstream stuff...(as I lay dying, Lamb Of God, Killswitch, Buddy Rich, Destroy the Runner, Gene Krupa, August burns red, Rush etc) So, I'm oppening up this thingy here to see if any of you have any good non mainstream bands that you know of? Stuff I havnt heard before you know? Anyways, I welcome you all to post the band name, maybe a few songs and a description of the genre of music.
I'll start it off with say... Liquid Tension Experiment -When the water breaks-
I'm going to say this genre is sort of experimental.
