#1 Song in 2007

What's the #1 song for you in 2007? It could be in any genre..

under 12-25-2007 10:09 PM

wouldnt this be better here?

ProggyMan 12-26-2007 06:54 PM

It's a different category. Album vs. song. Overture by Patrick Wolf for me, anyhow.

sleepy jack 12-26-2007 06:55 PM

1. Radiohead "Reckoner"
2. Patrick Wolf "Augustine"
3. Voxtrot "Kid Gloves"

that was my top 3, I had a top 25 typed out but I don't know where I put the file.

ProggyMan 12-26-2007 07:07 PM

I have my top 100 actually. But here's the top 10 anyway. Dominated by Patrickf and Ian.
1. Overture-Patrick Wolf
2. Citronella-Aesop Rock
3. Faust Arp-Radiohead
4. Magpie-Patrick Wolf
5. Black Mirror-Arcade Fire
6. Anesthetize-Porcupine Tree
7. Rehab-Amy Winehouse
8. None Shall Pass-Aesop Rock
9. Bluebells-Patrick Wolf
10. Augustine-Patrick Wolf
So yah, my list isn't very open-minded, but what to you expect from a favorites list when I haven't had time to listen to everything this year.

icebox 12-26-2007 07:52 PM

I like Radiohead too.. for me Reckoner should be #1 =)

I'm sure I'll get a few rocks tossed at my head, but I'm going with Tarantula from the Smashing Pumpkins' comeback Zeitgeist.

I don't think any song did as good a job with proving that a band from a previous era can still kick the **** out of anything that's going on now.

cardboard adolescent 12-26-2007 09:26 PM

I would say either Frozen GTR (Thurston Moore) or Spiderhead (Drone)

O'Bannion 12-27-2007 07:27 AM

For Reverend Green - Animal Collective

Well, Smashing Pumpkins was never very good, so...But I thought Radio Nowhere was great.

Radiohead-All I Need. The final thirty seconds when that piano kicks in literally gives me goosebumps.

Yes, I'm very serious. They just latched on to a current trend, just like hundreds of other modern rock bands.

YSHKMWYHTC 12-28-2007 05:52 PM

Doesn't mean they weren't good though.

ProggyMan 12-28-2007 06:00 PM

The phrase 'modern rock' is pretty telling.

YSHKMWYHTC 12-28-2007 06:04 PM

Fair point.

British_pharaoh 12-29-2007 05:25 AM

Alexander the Grape 12-31-2007 05:31 PM

Colors by Between the Buried and Me, since technically the whole album is just one song split up into 8 tracks.

And also either Murder or New York City by HORSE the band, I can't decide. Probably New York City, but I love the anger and intensity in Murder.

Urban Hat€monger ? 12-31-2007 05:33 PM

Songs in 2007 are soooooo last year.

YSHKMWYHTC 12-31-2007 05:37 PM

Rough Hands and Boiled Frogs by Alexisonfire
Well they came out in 06 when crisis did.
But as singles they weren't out until 07!
