Rock & Hip Hop Hybrid

Hi can anyone recommend some good hybrids of rock and hip hop such as Fort Minor--Remember the Name or Alice Cooper ft. Xzibit--Stand.

311

I could tell you the best bands of this type would be Rage Against the Machine, but they're a little too much rock
The Beastie Boys - but they're a little too much rap.
The best true rap-rock band is 311. Critics love to bash them, but there is no better band to listen to when you want a dose of positivity mixed with raw energy. If you're like me, you may not have payed their last few albums much attention, who knows they might be good. But, dude, I would highly recommend one of their first five albums-Music, Grassroots, self-titled, Transistor, & Soundsystem. And I mean highly, because that's back when they were smoking a lot of weed. Although, I don't smoke myself, and don't condone it, those 5 albums will provide you with some of the most groovy relaxing sounds you'll ever experience. 2 joints up, I mean wait, whatever.

I think Linken Park are terrible, but Faith No More were really good. Because dude could actually sing too, it wasn't all rap. Alot of the bass parts were very Flea-like and funky and a guitar player who claimed to be from another planet.
'Epic' was really something when it camer out in the early 90's. There was nothing like it on the radio at the time. Like was said earlier, RATM were more rock, and the Beasties were more rap.

I don't really think that "rock" and "hip-hop" can technically be united into a single form. "Rock" and rap, sure. But rock and hip-hop are counter cultures: any hybrid would invariably be judged as being one rather than the other.

Start with FAITH NO MORE and stay there.
