Recording an album

would anyone buy an album that has about 5 or 6 completely different styles?
this would mean that there would be maybe 3 heavy metal songs, 2 classic blues songs, 5 straight rock song, maybe 1 jazz song, and a couple acoustic songs.

it seems to varied for most people's tastes, so I just wanted some feedback on the idea.

Well, as long as it's done as coherently as possible, it sounds good. If it obnoxiously changes from one to another, it might feel awkward.

Make the album how you want to make it. That's why people will buy your records , to hear your unique vision of what music should be.

You should be horrified at the thought of compromise , not considering it.

As long as it works properly, the styles need to be mixed properly within the album, the way you do the styles and the tracklist needs to be incredibly well thought out.

If its good... You'd be amazed at what bands get away with if its actually good when you boil it all down to just music.

don't worry it will probably just come off as a prog record. Anyway, there's a market for anything as long as you sell it well.
