Lol what? Everybody hates this record. Why would you get hate for disliking an awful album?

After 5 complete listens over a period of 4 months, I've decided that this is an extremely average album, if even that.

Also, I try not to let religious themes and lyrics interfere with my enjoyment of music, and I usually succeed, but this album..... I feel like I'm sitting around a campfire at Catholic camp in the woods, listening to my group leader aimlessly strum away at his guitar while praising Jesus. Ugh.

I don't think the album is overwhelmingly religious-themed. I think that songs like King of Carrot Flowers pt. 2-3 are meant to be ironic. I'd say that the album casts a negative light on religion overall.

oh, it's just that the last time i said ocean eyes was awful, a lot of people hated me.

I find any religious themes on ITAOTS are presented in a negative light.

What Burns Never Returns was my first foray into math-rock (2 months ago now) and I found it to be tremendous. Since then I haven't listened to anything of the sort, though I've been meaning to listen to some Killing Joke I downloaded. Any recommendations?

Oh man, that's so lame! But if you like that, you should check out the Postal Service I guess. They were doing that sort of thing years before, and much better.

I need to check out that Owl City album now, I usually really like things that are heavily hated. :D
