What do you think of MTV? (music video, punk, rap, fan)

I mean the music, not the other stuff. I actually stopped watching any of the music on MTV, because all of what they play now I don't really like.

They just play what's popular and hot at the current moment, and they never show what's good. I hear it's a bit better on MTV2, but I don't get that channel. What do you think about the music being played on MTV2?

i live in australia so we dont get MTV! but it's probably like our Channel V!

I live Down Under too, but I'm pretty sure that Channel V plays clips from MTV.

MTV dont make the clips the record labels make them then sell them to variuos TV channels... Its not that they're made for MTV... i could make my own channel and by the song/videos and play them... Its just that MTV plays them... Channel V and MTV play the same thing cause they purchase the same product... and yes AUS has MTV!

I don't like mtv. It mostly plays rap anymore, but I have never been a fan of mtv. That is where people get the idea that Blink-182 is a punk band lol.

A) its true...i thought blink 182 was a punk band...arent they?
B) MTV sucks as far as music b/c they play more stupid shows than music videos
C) only big bands like N'Sync can afford videos...so thats all they freaking play!

mtv is horrid. And they are putting bad taste of music into all the minds of the teenagers who watch it. MTV2 isn't that bad though, I only watch it in my grandma's car though.

Here's a thought; let's stop labeling music and fighting over what genre a certain band is, and start listening to whatever pleases our ears no matter what anyone thinks of it! ;)
