1. The kids who only care about today's popular music (such as r&b and rap)
2. The kids who are into the hardcore music.
3. The classic rock fans (pink floyd, led zeppelin, whatever)
4. The kids who like 90's rock (RATM, sublime, RHCP etc.)
5. The indie rock kids

I was only Indie kid in my school....untill I droped out, but anyways......that pretty much sums it up

@ artless
all the kids I know listen to slipknot (even those kids that like popular music)

That's pretty much it at my school
With almost no exceptions
Majority of the people are into classic rock now though
Thats the most popular

And I've never seen a kid who likes Slipnot over here
Thank God

Well, scene/hot topic music has been getting really popular recently. TDWP, Blessthefall, Silverstein, Escape The Fate, Senses Fail, Rise Against (no bullshit), A Day To Remember, Saosin, Chiodos, Killswitch Engage, Underoath, The Used, and so many other bands. I don't have a problem with a few choice bands on this list, but a lot of others I cannot stand. Most of them sound the same. It's that thing where the song starts with aggressive screaming/yelling, and then mellows out with some soft emotional, higher pitched vocals, and then goes back to the same aggressive crap. All the scene kids love it, or claim to.

That's in a lot of places, however. At my school, you either listen to modern rock or post-grunge, cheesy pop, or rap and hip-hop.
