Hey man, I steal. There's nothing like a good old fashioned 5 finger discount.

Alfred 03-26-2008 07:05 PM

I have 300-ish songs on iTunes. :| Not very many.

The sad part is I don't listen to a lot of them. I've been going on punk sites to get free stuff recently, which is what I mainly listen to.

Komfort In Khaos 03-26-2008 07:29 PM

I have 1,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,004 songs, and im downloading more at the moment.

13. I didn't buy them all for myself, friends have burned quite a few for me, and I spend a hell of a lot more money than I should.

sleepy jack 03-26-2008 07:39 PM

CDs on average cost like 15 dollars, how do you earn 3,000 dollars at your age? Assuming at least 100 are burned.

ProggyMan 03-26-2008 07:40 PM

Dude, Amoeba has 2 dollar record sales.

And I'm sure they're quality releases.

ProggyMan 03-26-2008 07:44 PM

They are. I've found everything from Bowie to Patrick Wolf in there.

sleepy jack 03-26-2008 07:53 PM

That sounds realistic, I frequently run into record stores who sell albums by new artists for less than what it cost to manufacture the CD and artwork. It's a great way to make money.

Which Patrick Wolf CDs did you get used?

ProggyMan 03-26-2008 08:16 PM

Lycanthropy...I don't see what's so hard to believe about this, or why you care so much.

I don't believe you could find an imported album from a label like Tomlab for two dollars in a record store, used or not. Not many people who went that out of there way to get an album would turn around and sell it.

Oh look its ProggyMan's twin to the rescue! If I was jealous I'd just do what he did and claim my parent's records as my own.

Lol. Crowquill, nothing I say will convince you, so I'll ask you again. Why do you care? Someone bought Lycanthropy from either Amoeba or another source, decided they didn't want it, and sold it back. Why? Maybe it they burned it, and decided it just wasn't that special anymore, or maybe they just didn't like it. Maybe someone moved it with them from the U.K. to the U.S.?

I'm going to pull a you and dodge replying to half that post just because its so implausible. I care because like 90% of things you say about yourself it screams of being complete bullshit.

ProggyMan 03-26-2008 08:44 PM

Ok...

Farfisa 03-26-2008 08:46 PM

I had like 11043 on my old computer

enemyat_thesix 03-26-2008 10:19 PM

how did this thread collapse into squabbling....

ProggyMan 03-26-2008 10:23 PM

Why don't you?

because 99.5 per cent of the time, it sucks.

ProggyMan 03-26-2008 11:14 PM

Music before 1990? Any basis for that?

um.. 99.5 percent of the music i hear before that time sucks? i guess when the sounds enter my ears, my ears usually reject them. i can't control what i like, dude. i didn't say it was talentless, i just said it sucked.

remind me to never post without saying "in my opinion" at the end of every sentence. when i say that most of that music sucks, it's inarguable. so don't bother.

ProggyMan 03-27-2008 07:43 PM

So you expect to be able to say most of everyone's favorite music sucks, and have nobody respond?

Comus 03-27-2008 07:50 PM

I used to have nearing 16,000 songs, but now it's a mere 2290 since I have a new computer, and I listen to everything before I had it to my library. I probably have another 2,000 songs in rar files.

i'm just saying not to expect me to explain myself every time. if i have a reason other than "i just think it sucks," i'll let you know.

Comus 03-27-2008 08:07 PM

Most music post 1990 suck so how the **** can you say what you're saying, what music do you like?

wow, check this out: you just said the same thing i said, but just in a way that disagrees with my opinion. yet, miraculously, i have no urge to condemn you or insult you or test you.

but if you must know, my favorite bands include grandaddy, radiohead, coldplay, weezer's old stuff, my morning jacket, band of horses.. um. the flaming lips, gorillaz, piebald. there's a lot of rap i like but i won't mention any of that. the only artists who did anything before 90 that i like to listen to as much as post 90 stuff is pink floyd, elton john, and queen. and i only like their main hits mostly.
