Yes. I've been acquiring and listening to music for over 45 years now. Yes, but I don't download more than I listen to. Yes, I buy stuff from my upper echelon favorite artists--I see it as "voting" for them to keep creating music, and I also buy stuff that I can't find otherwise. There is still plenty of stuff that's difficult to find for free online.

Last time I checked I was just shy of 20,000 songs.

Around 2500 currently. I reached the max on my Spotify library last year though at 10,000 and had to downsize.

I have more than 800 songs onto my computer.

I have 100s of 1000s on my computer that I haven't played in YEEEEEEEARS. I never ever play them since Spotify became a thing. It's almost depressing. And I especially never play my CDs anymore. It's so sad. I do play my vinyl here and there though. But 99% of the time, my music gets pumped into my headphones/speakers via terrible quality Spotify because I'm lazy.

Well there's always the high quality streaming option on Spotify.
