He's not new

His best stuff is from the late 70's and early 80's

you're thinking of someone else

I love Joe Jackson... well, at least I really love 3 of his most popular songs. I was just barely too young to remember his first hit, but I do remember the 2 hit songs he had in the early 80's - he had a cool style then. Very elegant & refined looking, I still adore his song Stepping Out - I will play it over & over again on my IPod sometimes.

My dad used to sing along with 'stepping out' and would always try to get me to dig it. like the type of singing with running in place and a slow raising of outstretched arms with the chorus. I thought he was ***, my dad

I got his best of a couple of weeks ago for the princely sum of 1.49-that's pounds BTW. His early chart tracks hold good memories for me. Nothing spectacular but great lyrics.

It's Different For Girls is a great tune.
Never really took to Joe Jackson though, he reminds me of a mass murderer for some reason.

He's not a mass murderer and this thread gets a bump

I haven't got into his stuff as much as I'd like to, but Night and Day is a terrific album. It is about all I've heard of him though.
