Any good history of Rock dvd's?

I was watching a documentary on tv about the history of rock which included all kinds of genre which i found interesting, I know there is one DVD set called History of Rock, but the reviews arent exactly great and they were released back in '95 so its a little outdated, are there any others out there that you consider to be excellent and well researched?

This was a huge undertaking but it was only filmed up until 1977, however just a look at the participants, shows the wealth of information and reviews are good. It is on my to buy list.

The question is: Is there even a filmmaker with the ambition and resources like that properly?

I doubt it myself.

Well I don't knwo about rock in general but...
The Decline Of Westerncivilization depicted the whole glam/hair metal thing. And HYPE! went in depth on the Grunge sound.
I think it'll be easier to find individual generes rather than a complete entire history of a broad topic like rock.
