Itunes isn't so bad if you don't connect to there store and all that bull****. But if you have properly tagged Mp3's to begin with Itunes shouldn't be a problem. But yeah your problem is tagging and organizing so I wouldn't suggest Itunes, it would take forever (though if you have the time and dedication Itunes is REALLY good for tagging). IPOD'S suck. It amazes me how the can release something brand new that is obsolete. Honestly and utter joke. Check out Sandisk Mp3 players I think there cool. Heh I just use my PSP.

No you can put the artwork in yourself without the crdit card...Once the songs are in your itunes right click and go to "Get Info"....and if the picture is already in your computer than you can do it that way....And I agree the headphones suck, they break way too easily

I don't know, I've been using itunes for a long time it seems. But I think it's just out of laziness. I got used to it and it works, so whatever. I don't use their store at all and just add my own artwork like ashtray and Loser said. And I just use a ton of playlists to kind of sort stuff within the library. I like having the ratings next to each song and the play/skip count. There's prob better tho

I went through this process, and sort of still am, starting about five years ago. Do a little bit at a time, I suggest chronological ordering of some sort, I did a folder for each decade as well sub folders for each year. I also have all my music in a Media Player which allows me to sort by various categories.

That'd what I would do.

It's just a question of getting my lazy together to actually get everything on my computer.

You can make iTunes to organize your music into artist folders, that's what I have done.
