Default Looking For Japanese Pop (Rock)

Not a long time ago, I got into Tsukiko Amano, an independent Japanese pop/rock musician. I'm really liking her, and I want to find more music similar to her. Problem is, I'm turned off by many of the artists that Last.FM recommends to me, and I haven't been able to find another artist quite like Tsukiko Amano. Any suggestions?

You might like to try Namie Amuro, esp. her Concentration 20 album, Ayumi Hamasaki, or Hikaru Utada. They have a lot of videos on youtube and you can preview many of their albums on iTunes. They may have something you life. Also, for male j-pop/rock artists there's Gackt and Dir En Grey.

I really like P.O.S and I enjoy me some Aesop Rock.

Anyone know some good energetic hip hop with good lyrics that a fan of punk would like?

I don't know P.O.S. but I'm a fan of Aesop Rock and punk. Maybe you'd enjoy Antipop Consortium and Saul Williams (check out the self-titled and Amethyst Rock Star).

I'd love to see your signature/links too, but the huge and obnoxious ones have caused me to block all signatures.

Dalek, Rubberoom, Ice and Techno Animal would be right up your street.

I'll send you The Blend, they're a live band hip hop group what are extremely high energy and easy to get into.
