Nooooo, they're terrible! None Shall Pass by Aesop Rock might be what you're looking for.

Default Band Recommendation based off my music taste [described]

Hi there,
I'm trying to discover some new music but I'm having trouble. As briefly as possible, here are some of my favorite artists:
  • Andrew Bird
  • Arcade Fire
  • Marillion
  • Rush
  • Dream Theater
  • Muse
  • Fleet Foxes
  • Elbow
  • The Mars Volta

I'm sort of picky but I'm pretty familiar with a lot of music so it would need to be at least a little obscure. Any help would be appreciated

If you like Dream Theater and Rush, you would probably like Porcupine Tree. I recommend either In Absentia or their newest album, Fear of a Blank Planet. For Mars Volta, if you haven't checked out At the Drive In, that was Cedric and Omar's band before they formed Mars Volta.

Good luck, last.fm and Pandora can be your friends, I've found tons of new artists from both of those sources.

My recommendation?

Super Junior

They're just refreshing. I like pop music but for recent years have had a lot of trouble liking what American record industries put out. So I switched over to Korean. Now? I couldn't be happier! HIGHLY highly recommended.
