I'd say Transatlanticism.

I'd almost say Plans, although its not my favorite by the band, its still one of their most readily accessible albums and it kinda introduces you to a fair range of the different styles and effects they employ.... but for the sheer stripped bare emotional heights, I gotta go with Transatlanticism!

Any suggestions?
I know love that ben taylor song too, with the weird morphing video.
have a listen to Davy Knowles, his new album 'coming up for air' is pretty cool...

Some good Shoegaze to get into?
The only shoegaze bands I really listen to now are Spacemen 3 and My Bloody Valentine.

Mary Queen Of Scots by Eugenius wouldn't go far amiss.
