The Remains - [self-titled] The Byrds - The Notorious Byrd Brothers ^ All these fit the bill pretty well. Well, maybe not the Byrds one, as it's not so garage-styled as the other two, but it's still a psychedelic classic. All of them are pretty easy to find online as well. |
Thanks, Bulldog. I have that 13th Floor Elevator album but I'll certainly get the other two.

I am so burnt out from every piece of music I own and am in need of a new band to love... not a hit and and quit it kind, I'm talking something I can wine and dine and work towards for a long time before I get burnt out from that tender lovin'.
Top stuff: The Black Keys, Atmosphere, Lupe Fiasco, Common, Pink Floyd Recent stuff: Heartless Bastards, P.O.S., Neutral Milk Hotel, Murs, Girl Talk, G-Bear, Madlib, Blu & Ex I'm open for anything in any genre-- something where I'm going to want to pick up an album and listen to it front to back for months... Thanks. |
Look into anything by Devin Townsend... I have albums by him that I haven't tired of in nearly eight years... there' so much depth and intensity in his music, and he often creates desne walls of sound that you can pick through for years... a particularly good starting point might be his Terria album. Its a masterpiece in my opinion, one of the best albums of this last decade.
He can be very heavy in places, but in others he can be completely soothing atmospheric. Give his stuff a go. |
