Default Recommend some stuff like Glen Campbell -

Harry Nilsson (everybodys talking), John Denver. LIGHT country, melodic stuff. It doesn't necessarily have to be country, it can be folk as well. Genres don't matter. I like acoustic, guitars, lap steel, and sweet voices. All this stuff was before my time by a mile, so I have some catching up to do. Thanks!

I would recommend Pentangle and Bert Jansch. Bert Jansch went solo after his career in Pentangle, but its all great music.

Ok, I'm also getting into 50s doo wop. I don't know where to start though. There's SO many artists, and most recoded a lot of the same songs. Can someone set me on the right path to get into this stuff?

Definitely go with It Takes a Nation of Millions to Hold Us Back and Fear of a Black Planet in that order.
