yes, but all those sites just have regurgitated music lists. I swear, everything from Stereogum to SPIN.com, all the music sites basically listen to the same albums. I would love to see just one list that doesn't have Girls as one of their Top 10 albums, or that didn't list Animal Collective as number one. Not saying I'm not a fan, it would just be nice to see someone do something different.

Ghostly's Favorite Albums of the Decade - Ghostly International Media There is bound to be some common ground not only on sites that cater to the same crowds, but also clear winners across all genres. We don't have to like them all. |
I really don't see why people get worked up over an indie rock site... they're gonna make some questionable decisions. That's why they're popular, because they appeal to a certain crowd. Get used to it. It's the same reason why Alternative Press (the magazine) appeals to 14 year old scene kids. Not everyone can have the holy, infallible opinions that you do Norg. And if you ask me, Pitchfork gets it right a lot more often than any of the other popular media sources do.

The writers of Pitchfork or so clever and knowledgeable that I have no idea why someone wouldn't consult them to influence their opinions on music.
