yea but people are stating simply gnr ARE the biggest band since the beatles not perhaps are or they think they are. Just cause they sold out more venues. Its all subjective really all the possible arguments have been put forward and now its just getting repetitive. Were they the biggest players since the beatles? Who knows its all subjective and if you find them the best, thats great if you dont, you'll probably have another great band you see as the biggest.

draven 05-07-2005 05:26 PM

Tommy look at it this way since 1993 no band has been as big as guns n roses was from 89-93. That is saying something.

Tommyrocker 05-07-2005 05:32 PM

yea it's saying musics more than a one-horse race nowadays. Music's diversity is wide and varied, the fans are liking more different things nowadays. It still doesn't make them the greatest band ever, it just makes them the greatest band ever in your opinion. And THATS the truth ma soeur.

Hate to break it to you but you won't find one since the UYI tour from 91-93 was the biggest tour in history.

Or name me another rock band that had two albums place in the top 5 at the same time (gnr did it twice). There are none since the 60s besides guns n roses.

So as much as this board hates gnr you are a fool if you can't accept the fact that gnr in the 90s were one of the biggest bands since the beatles.

Again gnr set the record for most album sales in one day and I think one week with the UYIs for a rock band.

And talent is opinion but who was bigger is not an opinion its fact. And I have backed up that gnr were much bigger than nirvana, and they are also infact one of the biggest bands since the beatles.

That is all, you have lost. Good day.

mr competitive arent we. Say All these other bands ie Nirvana were to hold the same amount of concerts as gnr did...would they not do just as well? if not...how can you possibly answer that?

You arent the minds of the billions of people out there who quite possibly have a different thinking to your ***OpInIoN!!**** therefore based purely on facts you are right. Based on everything else, well im sorry mate but you cant answer that coz its purely ur opinion doing the talking.

:usehead: use your illusion....

There were much better bands and more good bands in the early 90s then there are now. What are you talking about?

Tommyrocker 05-07-2005 05:38 PM

I can see im wasting my time on you. Your opinion is fact by the looks of things. Just a boring 1-way viewpoint. Ill just put this then leave

Opinion is opinion. Yours is really no different no matter how much you put the same statistic and offer the same 'fact' guns n roses were biggest band since beatles.

I will stand by what I said, guns n roses in the 90s were the biggest band in the world since the beatles. I am not sure how old some of you are but if you remember the 90s gnr were beatle big and if you claim they were not then you are just lying.

making up numbers? look on most biographys of nirvanas and you will see that what i say is the truth. your bigging up guns and roses, saying their the best band since the beatles, what about zeppelin? sabbath? sex pistols? The clash? pink floyd? the rolling stones? you speak as a fan, which (as i well know from experience) results in a complete lack of rationality. basically, to me, everything you say is BS.
