If you're gonna say that they saved music, then you gotta look at the whole spectrum.

I looked instead to the root/dangers that were effecting music at the time.

I see it in rock today to be honest, and guitar music in general.

Their influence is there, but only in the sense that imitating mediocre artists of the past is what made rock music dulled down to the point of suffocation.

I love hair metal, and sleazy '80s shit. But I have literallly never thought to myself "Hm, I think I'm in the mood for some GnR." When I'm in the mood for a storm of cheesy '80s goodness, why settle for the bottom of the barrel? That's like being in the mood for a big old thang of mac and cheese, and eating some yellow tide pods instead.

Poison, Crue, even Dokken, all get my love. But never GnR. And Bon Jovi sucks too.
