R&B/HIP-HOP & Gospel Together?

Is it possible for an artist/producer to mix their career with both Secular(of or pertaining to worldly things or to things that are not regarded as religious, spiritual, or sacred. ) and Gospel music without being considered a hypocrite (a person who pretends to have virtues, moral or religious beliefs, principles, etc., that he or she does not actually possess, esp. a person whose actions belie stated beliefs.) Why or why not?

Yeah, when you consider that gospel is a genre with musical traits that can be separated from their traditional chritian message and placed in hip hop or RnB. Not to say that hip-hop and RnB can't have religious themes in their own right.

Sometimes when I come accross an interview with a rapper whose work is decidely un-christian and they claim to be religious, or release a highly religious song it strikes me as a little hypocritical, but I guess it comes down to a personal interpretation of Christianity. It's never really bothered me or turned me off their music though

Sure it's possible. Why wouldn't it be possible?

Artists are creative people so yes they can. There even exist a Rock Christian Artist. I just forgot his name but his music is great considering that I'm a Christian and I like rock music. Those two genre rarely go together so its really amazing of him.
