Default I'm new here...Just want some input.

I've made a move, I play 'n sing. Guitar (Rhythm / Lead|Solo), Bass, Drums...and some keyboard. I had a band, that represented what I was....but now...I'm joining a band playing simple guitar...but it's not what I "dream" of playing. Should I:

a. Continue playing, just using the band to advance my own selfish motives.
b. Join the band, allowing the rest of the band, to know my musical preferences...allowing a chance for diversity...or not..
c. Quit....they don't know what the hell I'm capable of...
d. Tell them what I'm looking for...then react based off of there responses.
e. A combination of all of the above...only picking and choosing..?
f. Fill in the blank

If they don't have the same taste in music, it's not gonna work out very well for you. There's a lot of demand for people as talented as you (I think :\) so I don't think you'd have that much trouble getting into another band. Just give your current band a bit of a chance first.

You're right though, I posted this before hanging out with them tonight. They're all talanted, we just have to find common ground.

Thanks turboduck17, appreciate the compliment. I'm gonna stick with this for now, I think some good can come from this...expanding my musical horizon.
