Chris Martin Hints at Coldplay Breakup - Blinded by the Hype

I'm sad to say that Coldplay is calling it quits after they release their next album at the end of next year. I usually wouldn't believe this because Coldplay makes a ****load of money. But I was at the concert last Tuesday when they played in Atlanta and the words came right out of Chris Martin's mouth.

All the Coldplay fans are talking about it on the Last.fm page.

Just think...then comes Chris Martin solo stuff that you will hate even worse and I am sure Will Champion and those other guys will start a new band or bands...It won't end it is just divide and conquer:bringit:

Its about ****ing time. Not that it matters though: the shoes they leave behind will undoubtedly be filled by a possibly even more obnoxious and mediocre group before too long has passed...:(

I tried to get into Coldplay a few times, it never took, still it's too bad whenever a bad with a nice following breaks-up.

It's easy to just not listen to music you don't like, no sense haing others suffer.

I was never a big fan, but I'll admit to liking a few of their songs.

I honestly don't care either way though.

I've never liked Coldplay to be honest. I do feel for their fans though - must be a bit hard on them

Coldplay is boring and formulaic. Good riddance.

Next we'll see Chris Martin's solo project, something along the lines of "Sublime Blue Sky," then a feature film, and a reunion tour a few years later after his third solo record, which was a collaboration, doesn't fare so well.

Meanwhile the rest of the band will form the next big band: VelvetSlave.

I thought Coldplay had some good songs on their debut album, but as the years went by, it felt a bit to me like they were doing the same thing over and over again. Although I'll admit I don't have any other albums than the first and mostly know their later stuff from the radio, it seems to me it got a bit too repetitive.

Maybe they're squeezed dry.

I liked some of their early songs, like "Clocks" and "Yellow." But they had the effect of being less enjoyable every time I heard them. That's trending the wrong direction.

I think Coldplay is going to be like Weezer. Even if they do break up, it's not going to be for long.

Woot, about time. I like a couple of their songs, but they just seem to be repeating the same old thing over and over again.

As do a lot of the negative comments about them. Lol. People can be so hypocritical. :tramp:

This sucks, bause I love bashing Coldplay, and I won't be able to do it once they quit steadily releasing **** music.
