An album a year for each year you are alive

Simple really (or is it?). Choose your favourite album for each year you are on this mortal earth. It's a bit of fun but it may also throw up a few goodies for people. You can include compilations and live albums if you want to but only one artist.

Mine:

1972: Genesis -Foxtrot
1973: John Martyn-Solid Air
1974: King Crimson-Red
1975: Fela Kuti-Expensive Shit
1976: The Abyssinians-Satta Massa Gana
1977: Pink Floyd-Animals
1978: AC/DC-If You Want Blood..You've Got It
1979: Joy Division-Unknown Pleasures
1980: Swell Maps-...In 'Jane From Occupied Europe'

1985: Iron Maiden-Live After Death
1986: Slayer-Reign In Blood
1987: Prince-Sign 'O' The Times
1988: My Bloody Valentine-Isn't Anything
1989: Nomeansno-Wrong
1990: Fields Of The Nephilim-Elizium
1991: Cranes-Wings Of Joy
1992: Spahn Ranch-Spahn Ranch
1993: Swirlies-Blonder Tongue Audio Baton

2006: Kayo Dot- Dowsing Anemone With Copper Tongue
2007: Bon Iver-For Emma, Forever Ago
2008: Nick Cave- Dig, Lazarus, Dig

Looking back on the list it seems to follow certain musical patterns and I am surprised at how mainstream it is at times. C'mon then. Get posting.

I love this idea, and great list to start off with Jackhammer! It's probably going to take me a while to come up with mine but I'm definitely doing this. I'll have to check out that Swirlies album. I really dig their music even though I've met Damon Tutunjian and think he's kind of a jackass.

This makes me feel old. I was in primary school in 1995. :(

And I take it you mean De-Loused rather than Bedlam.

I'm by no means a big fan of AC/DC but that is a pretty good balls to the wall live album.
