Weird. There's plenty of bands that I used to be into that I've slowly lost interest in over the years but I always have retained kind of a soft spot for all of them.

I have all of Garbage's albums and I totally loved the first two - both were awesome power pop / electronic fusion albums which sounded fresh and edgy for their time. Their lead singer had a tough, sensual and unique sounding voice, which I enjoyed alot...

Then along came the more condensed, commercial attempts on BeatifulGarbage, and that album was awful - a barely edgy Britney pop oriented album with none of the band's penchant for power pop, dirgey electronica or their sense of longing, yearing and complexity - just a hollow commercial attempt...

It totally turned me away from the band...

I have to admit to not knowing a thing about Jason Mraz... what is his general style / genre of music...?

He's a mixture of pop and that alternative singer-songwriter style, like Jack Johnson and the like.

I like The Britney album that has that breathe on me song on it. I also like her dave aude remixes.

I also like the first Spice Girls album and I'm not embarressed to say so.

I seriously don't get why this would be embarassing anyway. They were probably the best group out of the 90s teeny bopper pop movement and not bad by any means. I still get choked up whenever I hear Mama.

Also I like Aqua.
