I know it is technically cheating as it isnt a picture of a band but I would have to choose this. This came to mind as soon as I read the title of the topic. I still need to track down this in poster version or something. It is, for me, simply the perfect example of iconic rock and roll imagery.

beautiful photo, and an awesome story behind it. Warhol gave dylan this double portrait of elvis, and he took it home tied to the top of his station wagon. later he traded it to his manager for a couch. Nat Finkelstein is a brilliant photographer.
