dj shadow organ donor

Like the music. Wondering why it is named organ donor? Does it have anything to do with organ donor or organ donation? Can somebody help me on this? thanx.

it's called organ donor because he's using a sample of a organ (somewhat similar to a piano, typically played in churches) to create the track.

Thanks, Mr. Dave. That's interesting. This may be a silly question, but why donor?

I assume it's a play on the term "organ donor", meaning a person who has decided to donate their internal organs for transplant in the event of their death. In the song, he's apparently sampling an organ so in a way the organ has been "donated" by the original performer.

Oh. I think I get it. It's a homonym, homograph, and homophone all rolled into a one little pun. DJ Shadow rules.
