good scene (sex) music: by genre

especially for the girls.....

is there any type of music, ie trance, motown, heavy metal, rap, etc. that you find especially good as a mood setter for sex? and any genre that you find to be a particular turn OFF?

my husband and i are having a difference of opinion with the dj at one of the swing clubs we like as to what sort of music sets the mood. would love to hear some opinions.

thanks,
lila

R&B is the obvious choice if you're into soulful sex, if you're into something a little more sleazy, then, I dunno, Zep or AC/DC would work.

Just make sure it's something simple, 3/4 or 4/4. Unless you're pros and like the challenge of f*cking in odd time.

I know R&B has this reputation as sexy music but I have to say I've never understood why. Forgetting about the lyrics for a moment there's nothing about the music that I've ever found particularly smoldering.

For me electronica is where it's at for sexy music. Groups like Massive Attack, Goldfrapp and Miss Kittin and the Hacker have put out some music that I find quite erotic.

Anything that has deep bass lines and is even monotonous that builds to a crescendo. Men who shag to trance are obviously only in it for themselves.

anything particularly loud and obnoxious should get the job done.

No no no. That's not the way at all. Nothing corny, but a bassline is at least required and not over 140bpm too.

Well where's the fun in that?!

A bit of Al Green and Marvin ***e oozing vocalised sex from their mouths, flowing steadily into your ears.

I need a shower now.
