I may well agree with you, you just arent giving us much. I think for the sake of this argument its not entirely ridiculous to recognise some similarities.

Personally, and I think it looks as though Janszoon shares this opinion, I think its a little unfair to criticise Jerry Cantrell for keeping the AiC name going just because of Layne Staleys death. Had he hired a replacement the following day and gone about business as usual then I think that would be disrespectful but after quite a lengthy hiatus I dont see anything wrong with deciding to continue with something that was just as much his as it was Staley's.

It may not be AiC due to the fact that I happen to agree with you, AiC WAS Jerry Cantrell and Layne Staley, they could replace the other members a thousand times over and it would still be AiC but take away one of them and it's probably a good idea to discontinue the name. At the very least keep the remaining members together but rename the band. However I also think that if thats what he wants to do then fair play, its his right, and who knows maybe they will deliver.

aic wont sound the same and now i hate them. i listened to them because of layne's amazing voice...not because of the music really. but what ever man. william i think is a really bad singer they could have gotten someone better. i know its jerry's choice and i know he has the power to do what ever he wants for the band its just not right seeing aic without layne. thats all.

Alice In Chains New Singer

I haven't heard BFTB, but I'm sure of this:
I really would like to sit down & jam with Jerry & the guys. There will never be another Staley (R.I.P.), but I can hold my own.
The proof's on Utube, just search my name there. Can also be found by going to my website/domain:
gohearmymusicDOTcalm or leemichaelmanningDOTcalm :yikes:
You can hear me do "It Ain't Like That", "So Close", & "Junkhead".

I saw AIC with William DuVall open for Metallica 5 years ago. I know he's no Layne Staley but he actually wasn't too bad, he seemed like a good energetic frontman with a solid voice. I still haven't heard Black Gives Way To Blue though and probably won't anytime soon.
