As for studio, try some Caress of Steel or Hemispheres.

Rush is great.

I don't think there is any chance of changing opinion on FOT. They are just one of those bands, if people don't like them, they hate them.

I could be wrong but I have tried to show them to several of my friends and they just don't like it. At all.

No but if he's already heard them, regardless of the duration of the listen, and didn't like them... the odds of him changing his opinion are slim.

I'm just betting the smart money here really.

Personally I enjoy the group and own 2 albums. But they are one of those love/hate bands to me.

Get on the f'ing ball, man. I was excited by your small review of TFOT in the first post and can't wait for you to tear them a new one (the more I know about your musical tastes, the more I think you'll hate them).
