As for studio, try some Caress of Steel or Hemispheres.

I don't think there is any chance of changing opinion on FOT. They are just one of those bands, if people don't like them, they hate them.

I could be wrong but I have tried to show them to several of my friends and they just don't like it. At all.

No but if he's already heard them, regardless of the duration of the listen, and didn't like them... the odds of him changing his opinion are slim.

I'm just betting the smart money here really.

Personally I enjoy the group and own 2 albums. But they are one of those love/hate bands to me.
