I'm uploading Phantom on the Horizon by TFOT currently, I'll send it tonight.

You can take respite in the fact that Phantom on the Horizon is a 37-minute EP.

Wow. The shortest one I've got is 23 minutes. I guess they called it an EP because their albums usually have a lot of material.

I don't think you're ever gonna like Rush Urban. But whatever. This looks like a job for Dr. Prunk.

First off I need to know what you've heard from them. Considering your tastes you're probably more likely to appreciate their more hard rock oriented stuff than their straight up prog like 2112, so I'm thinking their earlier material.

I already sent him Exit Stage Left when he first posted this thread but I don't think he ever listened to it, so I wouldn't expect to hear much of a response.

If i'm going to warm to any of their stuff it'll be the late 70s/early 80s stuff when they started with the keyboards, which i've only heard the odd song from. It was their early albums that put me off them in the first place. So in that respect Janszoon probably sent me the perfect album for that.

I still have it tucked away somewhere, it'll get heard

I still have it tucked away somewhere, it'll get heard
1. First two albums: Very Zep/Who oriented hard rock
2. From Caress of Steel to Hemispheres: The prog years
3. The 80s: The keyboard dominated arena rock years
4. The 90s and present: The return to hard rock but with more alternative rock influences

I would think that you'd like their pre 2112 stuff the best.

What albums/songs have you heard?
