So, why can't Tesla be post glam metal when their debut album came out several years after glam metal had already been around when, arguably, punk and post punk both came about in the same year.

OK then i'll indulge you.

Wire sounded totally different to any other band that was involved with punk but you could tell they were influenced by it.

In 1986 there were hundreds of bands that sounded like Tesla.

Honestly I never really cared enough to listen to more than a little bit of them, but they did seem to be a more respectable band than Motley Crue or Poison. What would you consider post hair metal anyway?
