What lame choices.

My pick goes to Elvis Costello, singing a song he wrote with Paul McCartney at the memorial concert for Linda McCartney. It's called "That Day is Done."

I don't like many of those artists that were mentioned, sure I have respect for them but nothing I would choose to listen to but it's not like i'd cover my ears if one of those songs came on.

But I think this performance should be considered;

there is a performance by janis joplin that should be at No. 3.

Cry baby at the Toronto Music Festival in 1970, just before she died. Search on youtube.
