Amazing, and that is an amazing record. I'd love to read an entirely too in-depth review of it. Or at least hear your thoughts. Honestly if there's one metal genre you might get into then it would be black metal. If not that kind of black metal then there's gotta be something for you. Black metal is sort of like the punk of metal. There's the raw, stripped down style that's punk, and then there's the ridiculously experimental side that's post-punk.

I think I recall you posting several tracks for me to survey after I'd mentioned Carcass, is that correct? If you can track down that post, I'll make time to give those tracks the listen they deserve.

Can't find that post, but here. First three tracks are for someone not used to extreme metal, last three are of the more abrasive variety, but still... strange.

Thanks so much. As you took the time to select tracks for my introduction, it seemed only fitting that I take the time to compose a critical response sharing my initial impressions of these songs. I've just drafted and published a Batlord-themed entry to my member journal, which should be visible shortly.
