I'd like to be punk and say "fuck punk" because that's pretty punk to hate punk, but I'll just put on some Soft Machine instead.

Have loved "Third" since I was a child.
I just finished listening to the second album
about 20 minutes ago.

For the longest time, that Noah Howard LP was incredibly hard to find
and then about ten years ago, someone had the good sense to re-release it.

Fugazi are a great gateway band. Lyrical diversity up the wahzoo. Listened to Red Medicine all the time back in middle school.

Revisiting the late 'n great Kevin Gilbert.

genuine question because I can never get into post-hardcore

Im just like this isn't as good as Fugazi

Just so many people I knew growing up said they didn't become fans of bands like At The Drive-In and their ilk overnight, but Fugazi and Huskar Du were big among the people I hung out with.

Not that you asked for my opinion. But I found At The Drive-In easier to get into compared to Fugazi. Post Hardcore can be a tough sell, but I feel that ATDI just execute on a level that could appeal to many a music fan.

My favourite guitarists are mostly avant-garde guitarists, but he's definitely very near the top of the list. He's also one of the biggest influences on my playing alongside Marc Ribot, Fred Frith, Richard Dawson, and Keiji Haino.

I've been listening to this a lot, they make really nice sounding slightly weird Christian folk music

It's just good for gentle listening I guess

Syd was always my favorite member of The Beatles. Never got his proper due.

Wasn't Syd with Rolling Stones before The Beatles?
