17 year old Tina S.
Guitar prodigy playing Beethoven's Moolight Sonata.
If you dont know about her she is maybe one of if not the best technical player ever. I have played for 35 years so I know the guitar. She's from another dimension
Sorry I cant post link yet she's easily searched.

Powerwashed my Chromebook and accidentally got rid of some of my precious hate rock. Most of it's backed up elsewhere but I want that **** handy for a moment's notice so I'm redownloading and kickin' out the jams as I go.

This album is ****ing amazing. This is like meditation music from a time and world outside of our own.

The Batlord 09-20-2018 09:38 AM

Isn't that what all meditation music is?

Ehhh. Depends on how you look at it, I guess. Most meditation music I've listened to evokes a place or culture.

This is just otherworldly. It arguably is supposed to be "americana" music. It definitely isn't. You should listen to the album. There's at least one song that is essentially a drone doom piece.

Frownland 09-20-2018 09:47 AM

It's pretty firmly American primitivism, which is something of a Americana subgenre.

Great record though. Surprised that the genre hasn't been run into the ground by now but it just keeps giving.

You got anything better in the same genre from this year? I adore this record but I'm obviously not well versed on the genre.

Maurizio Abata - Standing Waters

And uh, I dropped a solid one last year but it does a lot of other stuff too.

Thanks bud. I'll listen to both.

Spurred on by a tiny disagreement with 66 (am I the only one who's not still calling him Batty), I'm listening to this Mariah Carey album on Youtube. Just skip the syrupy ballads and it's quite allright. I think her debut was probably her best album. Some of those high notes would make Rob Halford blush

Mariah Carey's self titled debut album...

I saw him dancing there by the record machine
I knew he must have been about seventeen

He said, “Can I take you home
Where we can be alone?”
Next we’re moving on, he was with me, yeah me
Ms Jett! How could you? The shame!!!

The Batlord 09-20-2018 12:23 PM

TFW OH is passive aggressively boring like rubber soul.

MicShazam 09-20-2018 12:51 PM

If he was saying something with those video posts, I'm not catching on to it.

I remember a night in September.

The Faces really were a great soulful rock band with the bonuses of beautiful (Zemaitis) guitars and fashion sense.

You know I've tried to keep my neo-Nazi rock to the appropriate threads cause I'm sure most people don't want to see it but **** my ass I don't care right now. This is absolutely one of the most visceral hard rock albums I've ever heard and if you can't take the lyrics then opt out but Jesus this **** goes hard. God-tier as far as I'm concerned.

Not too slow, not too fast. I'M TAKING AIM WITH MY PANZERFAUST!!!

One of the earliest orchestral groups that performs classical court music is the
Royal Lao Orchestra and their homes are in Knoxville and Nashville, Tennessee (!)
Would be nice to experience them during a trip to the Big Ears Festival there.

Frownland 09-22-2018 10:13 AM

That looks like a fun time.
