It's lame **** on its own, but when it becomes an exercise in mob mentality your rationality gets sidelined and you stop thinking about how lame it might be. Then it's just fun.

I'd rather not be part of a lame mob. That'd kill all the violence I associate with mobs and that's no fun.

Mobs are only lame from the outside. ICP are masters at creating mindless mobs and an ICP concert is basically the purest form of their craft. The crowd whips itself into a frenzy before the show with gang shouts (gang as in a group, not a criminal organization obviously) so that by the time ICP actually take the stage we're already a lit keg, and then it's just pandemonium. My first ICP concert was easily the best show I've ever been to.
