Yeah, where else could something so bleak and ugly, yet emotional and poetic be conceived.
Glad to meet a fellow fan (?). At least it seems to me like you've already known Gr.Ob.
Also kudos for posting Ned Rothenberg. One of the most incredible reed players out there.

This is easily one of the best post-hardcore-ish mathcore type albums I've ever heard, it really blew me away after the first listen and continued to after more listens. It sounds a lot like a heavier and metallic version of the Fall of Troy, plus a whole assload of more experiments, so like FoT combined with TDEP. It was pretty much super sick after one second in and it became a favorite. Among the most original and just all around best of its kind

Even the bonus tracks on Relapse are pretty solid. And Dr. Dre knocked this whole ****ing album out of the park as well. This album has me by the short and curlies like a mu****a.

Some groovy ass jazz and a great show. Recommended for those on the fence about jazz (and jazz fans of course).

Oh, no, I haven't. But now I'm their most ardent fan. It's western rock, yes, but... there's something so “Russian” in their music. Russia is a country you can't understand, you just can believe in it. That's why I love it.

Thank you for sharing, again.

I think Relapse might be my fave Em album. It might not have quite the personality of his first three albums but the production is a monster and his flow is absolutely relentless and seizes you by the balls from track 1 to the end. I could listen to Eminem rap the phone book if he's flowing at this level.

i really like the rawness of this....i tried looking these guys up and i think i found a match....basically their name translates to Civil Defense and if this is the same band they have been doing this since the mid 80s and have well over 20 studio albums....i was able to check out the one you posted and two others....

This one being my favorite so far

thanks for the introduction to a possible new obsession.....20+ albums should be a very interesting discography considering the totally different tags these guys get
