It's surprising the album's so damn good possibly because of his image as the pretty-boy frontman, people forget he actually writes all the Strokes' material

And I think theres actually some pretty good lyrics in the first Strokes album at least. Nothing mindblowing, but theres some good lyrics hidden away in there. "They act like Romans, but they dress like Turks" and "At least I'm on my own again. Instead of anywhere with you" come to mind. I'll probably wear this track down too at some point. Plus it has single written all over it.

I liked that version, tho a bit too chirpy lol. Still prefer the original, tho that was an interesting change. Is this version released in some kind of a bootleg comp ?

Just cranking Pulp's greatest hits album for the first time in a few ages. This one's definitely among their best.

Yes' first sidelong suite, one of the best things they ever did. I'm listening to Rick Wakeman's organ solo right now, and I am just being BLOWN AWAY.
