Rites of Spring - "Patience" (from All Through a Life EP)

Got this EP recently, after I saw Rickenbacker's "review" of it on RYM. I quote the word review because it was more like a comment saying he enjoyed this more than their LP. This video has the wrong cover, BTW - that's the LP cover.

I'd love to see your signature/links too, but the huge and obnoxious ones have caused me to block all signatures.

Ween - "I Don't Want to Leave You On the Farm" (12 Golden Country Greats)

I mistakenly gave up on Ween when this album came out, becuase I wasn't a fan of country. I realized several years later that was a mistake and caught up on the albums that followed this. Anyway, I eventually came around to this album - as I started to appreciate older country and of course realized that this was of course Ween, and therefore not to be taken seriously. I'm playing this album now and really like this song. Classic beautiful Ween songwriting and vocal harmonies.

That is one of the most brilliant country songs I've ever heard.
I already knew it and I play it an afwul lot. It's really beautiful

Now playing, another compilation:

Track 15 right now. One of the rare clapton songs I actually like

Swirlies - "Two Girls Kissing" (They Spent Their Wild Youthful Days in the Glittering World of the Salons)

This album has been one of my favorite discoveries this year. It's essentially an undiscovered 90s classic.

God, I love John Cale's voice so much. I really wish he sang more for the Velvet Underground. Then again, if he did I guess it would sort of take away the unique perverseness of it.

tuck me in Babe...
...just like You always do
tuck me in Babe...
...so tight and close to You
'cause I get cold...in my dreams at night...
...and I'm reaching out for You
