Name of Band, Lead Singer Shaved Red Head (soundtrack, alternative)

Does anyone know the name of the band that had (I think) maybe two singles on the alternative/pop charts in the early 2000's or late 90's? The bands was a younger group and lead singer had shaved red hair. One of the songs was about 'seizing the day or night' I thought it was tied in with the American Pie Soundtracks but don't recognize the name of band or song on any of the track lists. One of the videos was shot with the theme of a parents out of town 'house party' and a 'remember/enjoy/sieze the days of your youth' type vibe.
Thanks, I can't remember any of the words and just a little of the tune, I wasn't a huge fan of the two singles but it is driving me crazy and I don't know why. Any help would be great - Thanks

If them, then maybe the song you're thinking of is "Here's to the Night". They had another big single, "Inside Out".
