And I think we can kick this one off on Thursday.

Who else wants in before we do then?

Can't wait. Should I check here Thursday? Or is the info PM'd?

He'll post the partners sometime soon. And you'll have a complete fortnight to send an album, and listen to the one you got... and review it of course.

Ok cool thanks. Sounds good.

Edit: Sorry to be a bother..... But do you all usually check with your partner first to make sure they have not heard the album you are sending?

NumberNineDream 08-03-2010 08:35 PM

Sure.
Some (like Bulldog here) suggest a couple of albums, with videos from each to see which the partner would prefer.

Or maybe ask the partner which genre he doesn't bear, what he's expecting, or which mood he's in. As long as your partner seems curious about the album you're sending him, and that of course doesn't own it already. It's all good. You can PM each other all you want, till you have it clear in your mind what you'll be doing. It doesn't have to be some official "-Hello -Here's your album -Goodbye".

At the end, it's all made for you to enjoy your week, and your music of course.
Cheers. May it be a good first trade. :thumb:

I'm up for the next one!

I completely forgot to review the album unrelenting sent me like.. 45 years ago :( I was looking through my music and thought "what? I don't even know who they are" and then I remembered. Jeeeeeeeesus. So here goes nothing

http://i392.photobucket.com/albums/p...g?t=1280890539

Well first things first: I'm not even close to knowing anything about Industrial. I used to listen to bands like Rammstein and Ruoska and that's as close as I ever got. So this is a learning experience. As I was listening to this album I could kinda tell it wasn't new. Minutes later I would find it came out in 2002 which I LOVE. Those were such awesome times for me. But anywho. This really sounds like something I would have listened to had I known it existed. At some points it sounds like full on Industrial (Human) but tracks like Hypersleep are surprisingly atmospheric, even pretty! And as you all know, me and atmosphere are musically married so that's a big plus.

When Survivor came on I got very, very excited because in many ways it reminds me of old school trance from the late 90s. Damn those were the days :( And in many ways brought back memories of the golden era. But alas, those days are over. I think I may have to revisit some.. maybe throw on some Solid Slide - Belo Horizonte up in this piece.

Overall I liked this a lot more than I though I would (though I didn't know what to expect) and kinda reminds me of the stuff I used to listen to. Thanks unrelenting! Sorry I took so damn long :(

Couldn't hurt to do another of these I spose.

And I'm confident I still owe someone a review :o:
