This'll probably be my last one as I need to start packing stuff up and preparing to move, so I'd love to be in. Review still being worked on for Wintersleep :(

So long as you get it done at some point it'll be ok :) I was busier than I thought I'd be today, so I'll have to do mine tomorrow morning. It's quite something though, I'll give it that...

I'll go this time:)

This is looking like it's gonna be a pretty lively trade - I've got quite a few names down now. Anyone else up for it? Come on now, you know you wanna give it a go :D |
Count me in, I'll die with an album in my gnarled grip!

One more makes it even, anyone?

Okay I am down if one more makes it even. Please tell me I didn't agree to something with a cheesy theme?

Here's my belated feedback then... Pierre Blachelet & Herve Roy - Emanuelle OST For those who don't know, Emanuelle is a famous 70s porn flick and, because we now have a 12 year old and not to mention plenty of kiddies with sensitive eyes in our ranks, I'm afraid I won't be able to post the cover here :p: The music then... never seen the film myself (never been one to bother with that kind of thing anyway), but I did of course have some sort of expectation of what to expect - metronomic beats, funky guitar, all hilariously cheesy stuff. Oddly enough, this wasn't what the Blachelet-Roy partnership delivered at all. Alright, it still sounded a lot like the soundtrack to a porno flick, only... good. What I found myself listening to instead of some thrown-together borefest was some great (non-electronic) chillout music, dominated mainly by acoustic guitars with a few shades of saxophone and synth thrown in to add some extra colour. The vocals, in the rare places they're opted for, are very nice and soothing too. A very wintry, warm kind of vibe about the whole thing. All in all, it's something fairly rare in movie soundtracks of any kind, that being a unit of work that can stand up on its own two feet without the film to which it belongs. Something I can see getting more plays in future, so cheers for this one TL. |
And on that note, I've just done the next draw too. The pair-ups are as follows...
Abdullah424<--->Anticipation Bulldog<--->Dreadnaught Lateralus<--->NumberNineDream LooseLipsSinkShips<--->Storymilo MusicPhantom13<--->+81 Schizotypic<--->MojoPinUK Zarko<--->Terrible Lizard Ladies and gentlemen, send your PMs :D The next trade will start on December 14th, so we've all got bags of time to listen to our albums and get some feedback sorted. The next trade will be themed, so if anyone thiks they'd be up for it, say so here. Feel free to suggest some possible themes here too. |
