yeah I can well up to almost anything now especially if it associates some past times for me. Seems the older I get the worse it gets. The same goes for happy though...as much as it makes you cry it can also make you laugh out loud and grin ear to ear

There are many Hammerfall songs that get me misty-eyed, but this one in particular. If you're not familiar with Hammerfall, they're a cheesy-as-**** power metal band who sing almost entirely about fighting for metal with thinly-veiled sword-and-sorcery lyrics. Their passion for metal is just so pure and unselfconscious. It reminds me of how much I loved metal when I was a kid and just discovering it, and every day was like Christmas, cause I was listening to new bands and new genres constantly. It's totally geeky, but that's part of why it gets to me. The band just doesn't care how goofy they sound, just so long as they get to sing about metal. And their music is just so anthemic and battle-ready that it sweeps you up if you're a metal nerd like me.

This brought tears to my eyes in high school and made me swear my soul to Satan. No lie man. I seriously become a very devout Satanist because of it, and had I not met a man of science I fell head over heels for, there's a small chance I'd still have goals of being a virgin satanic priestess.

I teach rock & roll history at university. One time, when I was lecturing about Janis Joplin, I played for the class the ever-accessible Piece of My Heart. Without warning, my tears took me by surprise, though I was able to hide my emotions from the class by strolling over to look out the window.

In 2009 two of the coolest people I've ever known left this plain. This song slays me.

There's a bridge made of light
That crosses between death and life
Where shadows walk in the sun
And desperate lovers run
One day a child and an angel
Stood on either side
Of a magic river
That there was no crossing
But as they tried
The water began to rise
Then they raised their eyes

And as the river fell away
They built a bridge across forever
Between tomorrow and today
There is a bridge across forever

I've had this dream all my life
That doesn't live in black and white
It has no end it just begins
In distant sands and magenta winds
And my love she is standing by the side
Of a magic river that there is no crossing
Maybe someday when our spirits begins to rise
And light fills our eyes

We will meet again someday
On the bridge across forever
I know that we will find our way
To the bridge across forever
Between tomorrow and today
There is a bridge across forever
I know that we will find our way
To the bridge across forever.

Jeff Becks "Emotion and Commotion" gave me the vapors a few times. Serene, Lilac Wine, and into Nessum Dorma is a powerful experience to behold.

Thought you said Lil' Wayne was a powerful experience to be hold and was all ready to stage an intervention.
