There's plenty of great stuff to cherish from the eighties, just stay away from those cursed top forty charts...

In the eighties alternative really was an alternative and not just another part of the main stream...

As always with these things it's impossible for me to pick a favorite. The Foetus album Lucifer Sam posted is definitely up there. So is In the Flat Field by Bauhaus:
