I listen to Sevendust. F*ck anyone's negative opinion about my preferences in music for stating it, because I don't care. I'm all over the spectrum of music.

New song is good man. For what it is.

Who?! Who has this negative opinion? I shall smite thee. They shall be smote.

I like some Sevendust, and the tune I posted is for my friend who was just killed in an accident. It was written for Lynn Strait... who was killed in an accident.

There's a whole heaping pile of good Sevendust music. People would discover that if they looked past that nu-metal branding and payed more attention to the music itself, because it is so much better than a lot of other circa 2000 bands.

Sorry to hear about your friend. Been there myself.

Very, very true, and thanks.

Crank it!

It's funny because I see people here, and I listen to people say all these negative things about the band, but I wonder if they've heard more than three songs or just go by what other people say about them. Either way, those people and their stubborn nature missed out on a band with strong songwriting and some great music in general.

How about this classic? One of my pump up songs when I work out.

Hell yeah!

To my ears, they can get a bit samey at some points though, especially with the way Clint Lowery uses his wah. But regardless, they're great for listening when I need to get pumped too.

Putting aside Clint and his love affair with wah, he and the other guitarist are solid players. Personally, my favorite guitarist in that vein of music is Mark Tremonti, regardless of him being the guitarist of Creed and Altar Bridge (love that band), Mark is an impressive player.

But yeah. Sevendust can start sounding the same on some songs, but despite this they remain mostly varied so I overlook it. I prefer some of the guitarist solo material over some Sevendust material.

Hey if you are open to it. Check out Mark Tremonti and his band, Tremonti. You might find stuff you like with that. He put out one of my favorite mainstream records this year a few months back.

I have Alter Bridge on constant rotation. More good pump up music. I haven't heard the "Tremonti" version of his brand of fret burning yet, so I'll be doing some digging. Danke.

I know I can garuntee you'll like Tremonti, both of their albums but more so their second album. Here's a taste...

Providence is probably my favorite Tremonti song. It's not an in your face Rocker with that same fast paced gusto, but it's still heavy as heck in its own way and I love how massive the song is. I thought it was some impressive songwriting from Mark, then again I like the guy heaps and loads and respect him too.

Here's one to pump you up. Radical Change.

One that I find haunting in some way but also a huge song. Mark likes to write massive choruses and just in general, big music that is quality stuff. I heard this in him even when he was with Creed, but I feel Scott held the band back, because with Altar Bridge, they shine.

Here's one more, off Tremonti's first record. Always brings my grandmother to mind for some reason.

And the last one I'm going to post up. Listen to every one of them Plankton, or I gut you like a fish.

Sure to pump you up.

Anyway. I love Mark Tremonti. The dude can play a mean guitar. And I think he's a good singer too, even if sometimes he isn't varied enough as a singer, still he does a good job. Strong vocals.

Forgot the title track of their second album! It's a goody.

F*ck it. Plankton, just get both of their albums, torrent them if you prefer. I am giving you my stamp of complete satisfaction and that you'll dig what you hear.
